Who is responsible

Velraq is run by Adwait Kumbhare, who is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: adwait_kumbhare@velraq.com.

What I collect

  • If you email me: your name, email address, job title, company and what you write.
  • If you use "Try it now" (velraq.com/scan/try): the files you upload. They are sent to Velraq's checker in Amazon Web Services (London region), read once and deleted straight away; anything not deleted (for example after an error) is removed automatically within a day. The results are shown only to you, in your browser, and are not kept. Nothing about the files is logged.
  • If you send files for a free check: the files and anything in them. Redacted files are fine: swap names, but keep prices and stock as they are.
  • If you book a call: the details you give Calendly.
  • When you visit this site: no cookies and no tracking scripts. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, keeps standard server logs to run it securely, and may count visits without cookies (Cloudflare Web Analytics).

Why I use it

  • To run the free check you asked for, send you the report and reply to you.
  • To follow up about Velraq after we've been in touch. Tell me to stop and I will.

The lawful basis is legitimate interests, or taking steps you asked for before any agreement.

How files you send are handled

  • Files sent by email for the free check arrive by email. I scan them offline on my own computer and don't upload them to any other service.
  • Nothing connects to your systems.
  • I delete the files, and the emails they came in, within 7 days of sending your report.
  • Happy to sign your NDA first.

How long I keep the rest

Emails, reports and call notes are kept for up to 12 months after we were last in touch, then deleted. Ask and I'll delete them sooner.

Who else handles it

I don't sell or share your data. These services handle it for me: Google Workspace (email), Calendly (call bookings), Cloudflare (hosting) and Amazon Web Services (the "Try it now" checker, London region). Some of them may process data outside the UK, under the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask me to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. Email adwait_kumbhare@velraq.com. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
